Backwoods Wild and Mild Cigars Review

Honey Berry Review

Backwoods Cigars are a brand of cigars I have seen on the shelves many times but never tried.  A relative had one at a BBQ and it smelled really good, I was a little put out that he didn't offer me one, but he said it was his last one.  By the way, pipe tobacco cigars are family friendly.  They are not friendly in terms of the smoke or toxins they emit, but rather they are socially acceptable to enjoy after a great meal outdoors, rather than lighting up a cigarette or putting in a chew.

Backwoods Enjoyment

The first thing that will hit you after opening up a pouch of Backwoods is the incredible aroma of these crude looking rolled cigars.  After inserting the cigar into your mouth you will notice that your lips will sense a spicy yet refreshing sensation which is similar to the sensation of a clove cigarette.

Lighting the Backwoods is a cinch.  There is no need to snip off the end, just light it up and take a couple drags to get it going.  These cigars are moist and fresh right out of the pouch and should keep you going for 20-25 mins.  These cigars are not really the type you can put out  and relight as they tend to unravel a bit after a few minutes.  I imagine if you tried to snuff it out it would fall apart.  However if enjoyed with a beverage of your choice, Backwoods can be very enjoyable.

Pros and Cons of Backwoods

Pros

1. Taste - they taste great and have incredible flavor.

2. Freshness- the pouch they come in seem to keep the flavor and moistness.

3. Appearance- the crude look of these cigars is great and will sure to draw attention from other males (around hunting, fishing, BBQing, you know guy stuff.

4. Value- you get 5 cigars for around $4.  Not cheap but better quality than Phillies Blunt, Dutch Masters, etc.

Cons

1. Price- depending where you buy them can make all the difference in the world- Wal Mart is cheap some gas stations or Mom and Pop shops are expensive.

2. Unravel or fall apart- They tend to get a little soggy and hard to manage after a while- but good for a 20-30 min smoke.
